As we have created patterns for individual people and garments, we have built up a library of patterns. This page is for ordering a full scale pattern adjusted to fit your measurements with extensive instructions on making it up. If you would like a pattern and do not see it here, get in touch as we may well have something that suits.

What is included in a made to measure pattern
Our patterns are developed from personal experience of making and fitting the garments they are for. The instructions are written for both hand-stitching and machine stitching (where appropriate) and assume the level of experience stated on the item - if it says minimal, we mean minimal. The instructions often include information on the history of such garments, on extant examples of similar construction, advice on suitable fabrics, references to stitch guides for hand stitches and so on. In addition, they have diagrams or photos of the items in part construction so that you can see what it should look like. The examples shown here are
a pattern piece, showing seam allowances, construction lines and construction marks, and
a page from a set of instructions.
Both are from the Scots trews pattern but all of our patterns are of a similar quality.
Our patterns are printed on A0 paper by a printing company and posted directly to your home. The instructions are emailed as a PDF that you can print out and refer to or use on a tablet or computer to see the detail in the photos.
If you prefer to be sent the pattern as a PDF file that you can print in sections onto A4 paper at home and then Sellotape together, please indicate that on the order form.
