Re-enactment and theatrical costume is still clothing. Throughout history, clothing styles often change but clothing always needs to fit well. In the past, clothing could be tight or close fitting because all clothing was handmade or adjusted for a specific person. Tailors had “mass production” techniques but they always fitted the final garment to their customer, simply because they could.

At Properly Dressed we want to bring that level of fitting and comfort to you. We not only produce a range of made-to-measure clothing but also offer made-to-measure patterns with full instructions for you to make your own clothing.
